Great spot near restaurants and bars 🍸. the room is fresh and has a super comfy bed. Plus, they've got smoke detectors for safety.

The thing I like much about Estrela de Arganil was the hospitality of the Hotel staff and that they always were interested in helping us to make sure we know the basic things to move around the city

This hotel is very simple, you cannot find for example a little bottle of shampoo or a showercap in your bathroom, but if you don´t mind those little details this place is good

Room is clean and wifi is good.

Its not that close to the city, not an easy walk. Need to take subway to city center. The place is very dull! The surrounding is not welcome.

The staff were very friendly and always helpful. The location was excellent, close to a bus stop and easy to find. The area was wonderfully quiet and beautiful.

Air conditioning is excellent and rooms were large and clean. There was not too much noise from outside despite being on the main road. Furthermore Arrois metro stop, supermarket, and restaurants including local and Chinese cuisine was available within five minutes of the hotel. Homeless people live in the vicinity but nothing to worry about.

No lifts.

Situated close to Metro stations, well-equipped rooms, Wi-Fi worked in the entire building. Overall a positive experience, I can recommend this hotel, especially for its value for money.

Reception staff only spoke Portuguese and Spanish (although they were very friendly and tried their best to communicate despite the language barrier). Rooms with windows to the main street are quite noisy at night.

The hotel had very obliging staff at all times. I had a modest queen room with air conditioning and a fridge. I thoroughly enjoyed 5 nights in this property.

Good location, good value for money, very clean room

Location is very strategic as you can just walk down the street to go to the city centre. The room is very comfortable, clean and modern. The room is cleaned everyday. Very suitable for family trip and friends trip. The staffs are very kind and very helpful. They can provide you hot water and anything else you want. Very good facilities.

This place is in a great location, just 5 km from the airport, and it's really convenient being so close to the underground station; the food here is top-notch.

Good place, room not so big but it's ok for the night-stay. Excellent for the price. Near the airport- taxi costs like 6 euro and also near to metro station and centre is in walking distance. Good shopping streets with cheap shops

The location of this place is exceptional, just 5 km away from Humberto Delgado airport.

Great location for the price (60 euros for a two bedroom triple room, room 110), close to two metro stations (2 minutes walk) and relatively close to Lisbon old town / Rossio etc. (10 minutes walk). Good location for airport taxi transfer, too. Nice, average size and clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, has been recently refurbished (from the looks brand-new bathrooms/furniture in October 2011 when we stayed there). Two pastelerias in the same building, one very 'authentic' restaurant ('Restaurante 'a Ideal') just opposite the hotel, extremely cheap and good, ate there twice, lots of locals having their daily evening meal there. 5-7 euros for a huge portion of fresh fish or meat, large portion of fries for 1.30 euro, homemade cakes/sweets, just great!! Would definitely return to both the 'Estrela de Arganil' and the restaurant if staying in Lisbon on a budget!

If anything, for people who need absolute silence to find sleep this is maybe not the place to go. It lies on a main street (some rooms, including room 110, are just off the main street (corner building) but this does not make a real difference), and there is only that much window isolation can do. Interior isolation is not great either, even if it is refurbished, so you might hear people talking in the hall when they come back late at night etc., was no problem for us, however.

It was a great place to stay, the staff were very friendly and there were a few there who were on hand who spoke English, they recommended places to eat which there were a few next door or a couple of doors away, the metro is on the same street as the hotel, the hotel is exceptionally clean and has a tv and private shower we enjoyed our stay at this hotel there are plenty of shops around, we cannot fault this hotel it was great and highly recommend it to anyone.

I would recommend that they have tea and coffee making facilities like a kettle in the room as it would have been nice to wake up and make a cup :)
